Typeface Design / Making Fonts
Ten years ago, there was virtually nothing in print dedicated to the craft of making digital fonts. Folks had to rely on old manuals for Fontographer which were no longer relevant to today’s tools and standards. Today, there are at least eight excellent instructional books that specifically focus on the practice of type design, adding to the few classics on history and theory (like The Stroke and Counterpunch).
